PlaceMakers
Tuesday 13th January | Live Performance | Snacks Provided
A Holiday workshop for children aged 7–12 to explore site-responsive storytelling, dreaming up scenes inspired by the outdoor environment and bringing them into life using our creative playkit.
We’ll explore place, uncover story possibilities, and shape spaces into settings. Then we’ll step into the story with drama games, character creation, and playful performance.
Guided by two experienced arts educators, this workshop invites performers, makers, and dreamers to follow their imagination wherever it leads, across logs, under trees, or into secret forest worlds.
Then, after lunch, we will watch a live, interactive comedy Theatre show: Professor Bobbit Knows All of the Things and Most of the Stuff by Robbie O'Brien.
Professor Bobbit is a man of science. He wants to know everything. He’s so smart he was able to surgically implant more brains inside his own brain like a cerebral turducken. And now he wants to come and share all he knows with you! Absolutely ridiculous, full of physical comedy, and warmly interactive Professor Bobbit Knows All of the Things and Most of the Stuff is a comedy for kids about knowledge, expertise, and healthy skepticism. You may even learn something!
There is a full day option or half day option ( no live performance included)
Where : Samford Village
