Why Playscape?
We created Playscape because we saw a need for something different a space where children could build confidence, creativity, and connection without pressure or competition. As arts professionals and educators, we wanted to bring the best of drama and storytelling into nature, helping children discover their voices, connect with others, and feel a genuine sense of belonging in nature and community.
Our Vision
At Playscape, we believe in nurturing confident, creative, and connected young people through quality outdoor drama experiences.
●
Confidence
We help children discover their voices and express themselves with courage. Through acting and storytelling in nature, they learn to trust their ideas, take creative risks, and feel proud of their growth.
●
Connection
Our sessions build connection to self, to others, and to the natural world. Children learn teamwork, empathy, and collaboration while forming meaningful friendships in shared outdoor spaces.
●
Creativity
Creativity flourishes when imagination meets freedom. We encourage children to explore, experiment, and create stories that reflect their unique ways of seeing the world.
●
Belonging
Every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and part of something special. Playscape is a safe, inclusive space where children can be themselves and know that who they are is enough.
Our Playkit
We collaborated with artist Sue Loveday to design our very own Playscape Playkit a collection of beautifully crafted, open-ended objects and materials that inspire imagination and creativity outdoors.
Each piece in the playkit encourages children to build stories, experiment, and connect with their surroundings in new ways. The playkit helps young creators bring their ideas to life while exploring confidence, collaboration, and connection to nature.
